Pat claims that his love for hip-hop began to evolve when he was a small child. Pat recalls listening to rap as a kid saying, "I was probably the youngest 2pac fan alive in the late 90's. By the time I was four I had memorized the lyrics to a bunch of his songs, unaware of how explicit they were." As a result of his love of rap music, Pat decided to start writing his own songs during his sophomore year of high school. He would record them on his laptop and post them on his facebook page under the moniker "Nemesiz." As time continued, he began to take his craft more seriously. In June 2012, he self-produced a 12-track mixtape called "This is Me," which he released under his new rap name "Pat App." From then until now, he has released two videos on youtube and a couple of songs on soundcloud to build up anticipation for his upcoming mixtape "Spilled Inc." In the process of working on this new project he has teamed-up with his producer "Ability Beats" and they anticipate releasing the finished product December 11, 2012.
Pat has earned a solid reputation in hip-hop as a result of his creative lyricism (clever lines, story -telling skills) and smooth flow. Taking this into mind, it is no surprise that he draws inspiration from artist such as Biggie Smalls, Nas, J. Cole, Mac Miller, and Kendrick Lamar. Pat ultimately plans to someday be mentioned alongside the rappers listed above as one of hip-hop's greatests. Those who are close to him know that the kid is hard working, willing to do whatever it takes to get there.
With his music, Pat attempts to stay away from the mainstream style of rap. He has an open-minded approach to his music and is willing to experiment with different styles and sounds. His music appeals to high school and college kids as they reach a crucial period in determining their futures. In a nation full of parents, brainwashing their kids, telling them that the only way to achieve success is through becoming a brain surgeon or a lead attorney, Pat takes a different stance. He feels that the best way to find success is by discovering the one thing that you do the best and pouring your heart into it.
Look out for him in the near future. I can assure you that big things are coming...
